In the early 1980's, Ray Fard's restaurant in Tehran, Iran thrived as a favorite gathering place for families, business men and women. After the Islamic revolution and during the long war that followed, Ray sold everything he had and moved his family out of Iran to pursue a life of peace and progress.

 

After settling in the United States, Ray once again pursued his passion for Persian cooking by starting Uncle Ray's Catering Company to serve the growing international communities and companies of the San Francisco Bay Area.
